Speaker monitor

The speaker monitor link (/monitor/…) opens a full-screen, dark view built to sit on a podium or confidence monitor: the current speaker's name, the current timer's name, a large countdown, and the same colour-staged rundown bar shown on the host view. No login is needed — anyone with the link can open it.

The bar (and the countdown itself, near the very end) shifts through four stages as time runs out:

• Green — under 60% elapsed
• Green-amber — 60–80% elapsed
• Amber — 80–92% elapsed
• Red — 92%+ elapsed, and the countdown text itself turns red too

When the host sends a message, it appears here as a bold, red, unmissable banner above the countdown — see Timers & host controls for how the host sends one. “Flash speaker screen” pulses this whole screen white twice in quick succession, a good way to grab attention silently without the speaker needing to be looking at the message text.

A “Show the questions” toggle near the bottom is off by default, to keep the screen distraction-free. Turning it on shows the same live, vote-sorted Q&A list the audience sees — read-only from here, moderation happens from the host view.
