About asktimer.com
asktimer.com is a browser-based stage timer with live audience Q&A, built for conferences, meetings, workshops and any event where several people speak to one room.
What it does
One event gets three links. The organizer runs the whole program from a private host screen: start, pause, add time, and move to the next speaker. Each speaker opens a confidence monitor showing only their remaining time, which shifts from green to amber to red as the end approaches. The audience opens a public page, by link or QR code, where they ask questions and upvote the ones they want answered. No app and no attendee accounts.
The speaker decides when to bring the questions onto their own screen, so the room's best questions reach the person on stage at the moment they can answer them.
How it's built
The timer runs on the server, not in a browser tab, so every screen in the room shows the same time and the clock keeps going if a laptop sleeps or a tab closes. When a slot ends, the next one can start on its own after a short on-screen countdown. The service runs on Cloudflare's global network, and every screen updates live over a persistent connection.
Free to start
The free plan covers small events end to end. Pro, at $19 a month and cancellable at any time, lifts the speaker and timer limits and removes asktimer.com branding from the screens your audience sees. See pricing for the full comparison.
Free tools
Alongside the event product, the site offers free agenda and run-of-show templates and standalone countdown timers that work without an account.
Your data
Organizers sign in with a one-time email code, so there are no passwords to leak. Audience members never create an account. The privacy policy sets out what is stored and why.
